By using KanDeDong (the App, operated by Ejoshi Software Co.) you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App; children under 13 may not register or use it. If you are 13-17, a parent/guardian must consent and accept these Terms for you. We ask for your date of birth for two purposes: to confirm your age, and — when you first set up the news tab — to pre-select the "fewer worrying stories" option for you, which you can change at any time. Your date of birth is stored privately, is never displayed, is never used for advertising, and is never sent to our news system. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

You agree not to use the App unlawfully, upload documents you have no right to process, or attempt to abuse or disrupt the service. You will indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the App.

Content you post (comments, messages to friends) remains yours, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license solely to display and operate it within the App (for example, delivering your messages). Prohibited: harassment, scams, misinformation, others' personal information, unlawful content. We may remove content or restrict posting without notice. Comments display your chosen nickname. Private messages are visible only to the two participants; we do not read your chats and never use them for advertising or AI training. Only when a message is reported do we retain a copy of that message for safety review (even if the sender later unsends it). Messaging requires a signed-in account: your KanDeDong ID and nickname are the only identity others can see — never your phone number or email. You may unsend a message within 15 minutes, block anyone (they can no longer message you or send friend requests), and report any user or message.

The App's core features are free. Two optional subscriptions exist: Individual (US$9.99/month, view one family member's saved explanations and reminders) and Family Premium (US$19.99/month, five people: you plus up to four family members whose saved explanations and reminders you can view). On the web, subscriptions are processed by Stripe and we never touch your card number; on iPhone they are sold through the App Store and Apple handles payment. One account holds one active subscription: an existing subscriber cannot buy a second one, and plan changes go through Manage Subscription. Both plans include a 7-day free trial; cancel during the trial and you are not charged. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly until canceled; cancel anytime via the billing portal (or iPhone Settings → Subscriptions), effective at the end of the current period. If a payment fails, family content pauses and the App asks you to update your payment method. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law; if we do refund, family access ends immediately. Price changes will be notified in-app in advance.

Our Privacy Policy (kandedong.expo.app/privacy) is part of these Terms. Highlights: photos are deleted after analysis and never stored; only explanations you choose to save are kept, with automatic expiry; your content is never used to train AI; Delete All truly deletes. To improve the App we record anonymous usage statistics — only THAT something happened (e.g. the camera was opened, how long an explanation took), never content: no photos, no text, no questions. They are used only to improve the App and never for advertising; we never sell them and never give them to advertising platforms.

Family Premium lets an elder authorize family members to view their saved explanations and deadlines. Sharing is granted solely by the elder via a pairing code, can be revoked per person at any time with immediate effect. Family members never see photos (none are stored), chats, or deleted/expired items. Access ends when the subscription lapses.

Resources marked 赞助 (Sponsored) are paid placements, provided as information only — not our recommendation or endorsement — and never influence the App's explanations. Your dealings with any resource, sponsored or not, are solely between you and them.

You may stop using the App and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations. Sections 2-5, 9, and 11 survive termination.

We may revise these Terms; material changes take effect after you re-confirm in-app. If any provision is held invalid, the rest remain in effect. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us. In case of conflict between the Chinese and English versions, the controlling language is to be confirmed by counsel.
